🏅 National Sports University (NSU), Imphal, Manipur is India’s first and only central university dedicated exclusively to sports education, research, and development. Established in 2018 under an Act of Parliament, NSU is a pioneering institution under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

NSU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs focused on sports sciences, coaching, psychology, and physical education:

NSU is structured into four specialized schools:

School of Sports Science & Sports Medicine: Focuses on physiology, biomechanics, rehabilitation, and clinical sports medicine.

School of Sports Management & Technology: Covers digital media, infrastructure, and sports architecture.

School of Sports Education: Trains coaches, referees, and educators.

School of Interdisciplinary Studies: Promotes peace, development, and communication through sports.

📍 Campus & Facilities

Currently located at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal.

A new 325-acre permanent campus is under development in Imphal West.

Facilities include hostels, modern sports labs, a digital library, and high-performance centers.

📝 Admission Process

Admission is merit-based, involving written tests, physical fitness assessments, and sports proficiency evaluations.

Applications are submitted online through the university portal.
